The story behind the music and the vision.
I grew up in Kent, close enough to London to hear the pulse of the UK dance scene as it was evolving. As teenagers we couldn’t get into the clubs yet, so me and my friends would sometimes stand outside listening through the doors.
That’s where I first heard the sounds that stuck with me, and found a life long love for — UK Garage, Speed Garage, House and Drum & Bass and music as a whole.
At 14 a best friend introduced me to a two-channel DJ mixer and started learning to mix. That quickly turned from mixing with Walkman's and CD players to collecting vinyl, carrying record bags across towns for early gigs, and eventually playing club nights alongside amazing talented DJs, MCs and promoters based in the Kent/London area.
Music production started not long after while studying Music Technology at MidKent College — back when ideas meant MIDI sounds, 8-tracks and floppy disks. A few pieces of gear from those years are still around today, including a Roland SH-32 that occasionally finds its way into Dream Project tracks.
Dream Project began in 2024 while I was living in Sydney, as a way to bring together the sounds that shaped me and the ones discovered since. The music moves across House, UK Garage, Drum & Bass, Trance, Breakbeat and experimental styles.
These days I describe myself as a partial AI producer — some tracks are completely human made, some are collaborative with AI tools, and some fully AI assisted. For me it’s simply another way to explore ideas.
At its heart Dream Project is still about the same thing that started years ago — chasing the feeling of those early times, whilst spending time doing what you love most.
